Program Note
In June of this year, I engaged in a workshop with Julian Boal, son of Augusto Boal, who created the Theatre of the Oppressed pedagogies. I wanted to learn more about how to embody social justice problems and solutions in collective and creative ways. I brought some of the practices to this cast and experimented with how Theatre of the Oppressed pedagogies could be applied in a dance context.
